{"id":122,"date":"2025-12-25T23:02:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-26T03:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/galaxyexplorer.org\/blog\/?p=122"},"modified":"2026-01-22T03:03:23","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T07:03:23","slug":"desi-dr1-progress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/galaxyexplorer.org\/blog\/?p=122","title":{"rendered":"DESI DR1 &#8211; Progress!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For those who are relatively new to reading my work, here&#8217;s a little bit of background information in the event you haven&#8217;t seen my previous posts on this topic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, I&#8217;ve decided to take on the challenge of wrangling with Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument data again. This time, instead of the Early Data Release, which contains pruned and polished data, I&#8217;m using the full Data Release 1 which was released in April of 2025, just a month before I presented my EDR results at the National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium. The main difference between the EDR and DR1 is the amount of data available, where I now have nearly 10 times as much data to work with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve finally got around to getting the correlation figured out, and I&#8217;ve run a best fit model for the data I have currently.
